Getting started with Live Lite
What is Live Lite?
Live Lite is bundled with a variety of hardware devices and apps, and can be used to create, edit and refine your music.
How do I get a Live Lite serial?
When you purchase a third party device or app that includes Live Lite, you'll be given a serial number with it which you can then register on Ableton.com to access the installer.
If you didn't receive a serial with your device you can request a replacement by providing a valid proof of purchase.
Keep in mind Live Lite only comes with certain devices and a serial cannot be issued without a qualifying hardware or app purchase.
If you bought a hardware product secondhand that should have come with a Lite serial, you can use the same replacement form above.
How do I install Live Lite?
Once your serial is registered you can download the installer from your Ableton user account.
Make sure your computer meets our minimum system requirements and check out our installation guide for a detailed overview on installing Live.
How can I authorize Live Lite?
Once Lite is installed, Live will ask to be authorized.
As long as your Lite serial is registered to your Ableton.com account and your machine is connected to the internet, you can use the online method of authorization.
If your computer does not have internet or if the online authorization fails, you can follow the offline steps to complete the authorization.
What should I do next?
After Live Lite is installed and authorized the program is ready to use.
