What instruments, drum kits, and audio effects come with Move?

Can Move be used as a sampler?
You can record audio samples directly on Move using the built-in microphone. Move includes Drum Sampler and Melodic Sampler devices. For how to use Move as a sampler and tutorials on other Move features, visit Learn Move videos.
Why does Move offer only 4 tracks?
Move is designed for portability and immediate music making. While Move’s CPU is optimized for working with a four-track Set, each track can accommodate a drum rack. With Drum Sampler’s 16 Pitches feature, Move offers the equivalent of up to 64 monophonic sampler tracks that can be played melodically. You can transition projects created on Move into Ableton Live on your computer to refine and edit your Set, and to add complexity and additional tracks.
How should I clean Move?
Clean Move with a dry cloth only.

What are Move’s different USB ports for?
To connect Move with your computer to control Ableton Live, or to charge Move’s battery, use the USB-C port. To connect a class-compliant MIDI device to control or play Move, use the USB-A port. More information on Move’s MIDI input and output can be found in the guide Using MIDI with Move.
How much internal storage does Move have?
Move’s internal storage capacity is 64GB. Approximately 50GB of this is available for storing personal data. Imported samples are saved to Move’s User Library, and can be used across multiple projects. To manage your recordings, samples and presets, you can connect wirelessly to Move Manager, the browser-based tool for managing the files on Move.
What processor does Move come with?
Move’s processor is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 at 1.5 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and a custom OS optimized for music creation and performance.
What sampling rates does Move's audio driver support?
The only sampling rate that is supported is 44.1kHz. For further information about using Move as an audio interface.
What bit depth does Move record at?
Move records at 16 bit depth. For more information about recording with Move, visit section: Recording and Capturing in the Move user manual.
Are Move’s built-in speakers mono or stereo?
Move's built-in speakers convert the stereo sound of your Set to mono. For stereo sound, use Move's line output with headphones or external speakers.
Is Live 12.1 required to run Move?
Using Move in Control Live Mode works with Live 12.1 or Live 11.3.35 or later. The Live application should be updated to the latest available version before using with Move. For more information, visit Move Minimum System Requirements and Updating Live.
Move charging and battery
Can Move be charged via USB?
Move has one USB-C port, which can be used for charging with the power supply, for transferring data and controlling Ableton Live on your computer, or to use Move as an audio interface. To charge Move, the original included power supply is recommended. Charge can be maintained while connected to a computer, without the power supply, if the computer’s USB-C port supplies sufficient power. For more information, visit the Move Charging FAQ.
How long does Move’s battery last?
Move’s battery provides up to 4 hours of music making when fully charged. For details about charging Move, see the Move Charging FAQ. To prevent Move’s battery level from draining when not in use, switch it off.
Move and external devices
What devices and instruments can be used with Move’s MIDI inputs?
Move is compatible with most USB Low-Speed and USB Full-Speed devices, and it receives Poly Aftertouch data. Hi-Speed USB devices, Channel Aftertouch, and MIDI CC are not supported. MIDI mapping of external MIDI devices is not supported. Learn more about Move’s compatibility with third-party MIDI devices in the article Using MIDI with Move and in the Move user manual. Please note that not all available MIDI devices are tested or guaranteed to work with Move.
What devices can be used with Move’s audio input?
Move's audio input is for line-level signal from an audio device or smart-phone via analog cable, not for microphone or Hi-Z instrument input. Learn more about audio input levels in this external guide. To connect a microphone or guitar pickup to Move, using an external pre-amp with line-level output is recommended. To change the input gain while recording on Move, turn the wheel to highlight the input level (VU) meter and click on it, then turn the wheel to set the input gain. Can I use Move to control Push?
Controlling Push with Move is not supported.
Can I use Ableton Link with Move?
You can enable Ableton Link in Move’s Setup menu. Learn more about Ableton Link.
Can I use Move to sequence and play external hardware?
Move supports MIDI output via USB-A. For how to set up USB MIDI in or out, visit the Move Manual and the guide Using Move with MIDI.
Can Move be used alongside Push to control Live?
Using Move and Push together to control the same instance of Live is not supported.
Can I use two Move units at the same time in Control Live Mode with the same instance of Live?
Using multiple Move units together to control the same instance of Live is not supported.
Move Sets and content
Can I transfer Sets created on Move to Live on my computer?
You can manage your Move Sets and the files on your Move, load samples onto Move, and bring your Sets into Live with the web-based Move Manager. Learn more about Sets and content on Move.
Does Move work with Ableton Cloud?
You can connect Move to Ableton Cloud to share your Sets with Note and Live. Before using Cloud, you must enable Wi-Fi. For step-by-step instructions on how to connect Move with Cloud, visit the Move manual section: Ableton Cloud and the article Using Move with Ableton Cloud.
Can I use Ableton Packs with Move?
Ableton Live Packs cannot currently be used on Move.
Can I upload presets created in Ableton Live to Move?

Can I transfer Sets created in Live on my computer to Move?
On Move, opening Sets created in Live on your computer is not supported.
- Moving Sets from Note to Move or from Move to Note is supported.
- A Move Set can be transferred to your computer and opened in Live
- A Live Set created on your computer cannot be opened on Move.
Does Move automatically save or back up my Sets?
If you don’t make changes in your Set or adjust Move’s controls for 10 seconds, your Set is automatically saved. Move also auto-saves your Set when shut down.
