Push and Move Cleaning Guide

Learn how to safely clean Push and Move and prevent cosmetic damage, with tips for effective cleaning methods and care during transport.

Cleaning

The following suggestions apply only to the outer casing. Do not open the device, as this will invalidate your warranty.

• To remove scuffs and dust, wipe with a dry cloth. 

• For food stains or other caked materials, use a damp cloth with a small amount of soap. Make sure no excess liquid drips onto the knobs or buttons.

• Knobs can be removed to clear out dust, but Ableton cannot be held liable for any damage caused by doing so.

• Avoid cleaning plastic parts with alcohol-containing liquids or wipes, as this may result in cosmetic damage.

Tips to avoid cosmetic damage

• Keep Push and Move out of direct sunlight and away from liquids.

• To prevent surface scratches, cover the unit with a cloth or case when carrying it in a backpack or luggage. A laptop sleeve also works well.

• Pack the USB cable and power supply separately when traveling. Leaving cables connected can damage the ports.

• Due to the geometry of the device, the hard corners are more susceptible to paint loss.
