Saving Max for Live devices in Templates

As of Live 11, we recommend saving all Max for Live devices used in Templates to the User Library.  

The default location of the User Library is here:

• Windows: \Users\[username]\Documents\Ableton\User Library
• Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/[username]/Music/Ableton/User Library

If Max for Live devices are not saved to the User Library before creating a new Template, Live will create redundant copies of these devices. In this case, the Template will reference the new copy of the device located in the User Library, rather than the original instance saved outside the User Library. Creating multiple redundant copies of devices can get in the way of necessary updates, and should be avoided.
