How to create a Status Report

A Status Report is a zip file containing information about your setup and a log of what Live has done since it was last opened. This file will help Ableton Support to investigate technical issues on your system.

To create a Status Report Pack, please follow these instructions.

Step 1. Click "Get Support..." in Live's Help menu which opens a screen called "Getting Technical Help"

Step 2. Click the link of the Status Report in order to open its enclosing folder in Finder/Explorer

Step 3. Send the Status report zip as an email attachment to Ableton Support.

 

Note: Status Reports can be found in the following locations, in case you need to retrieve them manually. This is useful when Live isn't launching, and thus a status report cannot be generated via the method above.

  • Mac
    /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Live Reports/
  • Windows
    \Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live Reports\

These folders are normally hidden by default.
