FAQ
What is Max for Live?
Max for Live is a visual programming environment that allows users to build instruments and effects for use within Live. It comes bundled with Live Suite and is available as an optional add-on for Live Standard.
Is Max for Live now included in Intro and Standard?
No, these specific devices were added to Live Intro and Standard so that users could access some Max for Live content. If you want to edit Max for Live patches or use Max for Live Packs, you would need a Live Suite license or an add-on Max for Live license in Standard.
Can I load any .amxd device in Intro and Standard?
No, it is only possible to use the built-in Max for Live devices.
Are the new devices the same Max for Live devices that come with Suite? Can I edit all Max devices?
These devices were originally created as Max for Live content in Suite and can now run like native devices in Intro and Standard but do not allow patch editing.
