CV Tools Setup and Routing Pages on Push 3 (standalone)
Routing pages allow you to manually configure the input/output of CV Tools devices when sending CV signal either through the Pedal jacks or via ADAT. Routing pages are accessible when Push 3 is in Standalone Mode. The Routing Pages can be accessed in the CV Tools device window by pressing the button above the device's name. CV Instrument setup and routing
The CV Instrument devices with Routing pages on Push (standalone) are CV Instrument and CV Triggers.
CV Instrument
CV Instrument can send Gate, Pitch, Env 1, Env 2 and Shaper data. Default settings for the Routing page are pictured here:
To monitor an oscillator or external voice:
- select Routing → Input
-
Under Audio From, select the desired input port or channel
To control the pitch of an oscillator or external device using v/oct or c.v input:
- Under Pitch, select CV 1 L/R - CV2 L/R or ADAT 1-8
-
Under Polarity, select Unipolar or Bipolar
Polarity setting:
| Polarity CV ranges | |
|---|---|
| Unipolar | 0V to +5V (or +10V) |
| Bipolar | -5V to +5V (or -10V to +10V) |
Polarity depends on the type of CV output.
- If using the Pedal jack outputs, select Unipolar
- If using ADAT channels 1–8, select Bipolar
To control an envelope using a trigger or gate:
-
From the Routing page under Gate select either CV 1 L/R - CV2 L/R or ADAT 1-8
-
Under the Main tab → Gate select either Trig or Gate

Note: Pedal Jack 1 corresponds to Audio Channels 5–6 and Pedal Jack 2 corresponds to Audio Channels 7-8 in Live
CV Triggers
CV Triggers can output up to 8 triggers. For each trigger, you can select CV output type Trigger, Gate or Ping.
Note: In Standalone Mode, CV Triggers loads with default MIDI note assignments. These can only be reassigned in Control Live Mode.
To set trigger type:
-
Open the Routing tab to select each of the 8 Trigger outputs, for CV 1 L/R - CV2 L/R or ADAT 1-8:
-
Open the Triggers tab to set CV Mode, Velocity and Polarity.
Note: Trigger and Ping length can only be adjusted once that Mode type is selected.
