Authorization issues using Google Chrome

Your default internet browser is set to Google Chrome and by clicking "Authorize at," you are taken to your User Account page, but Live doesn’t authorize.


As a result of a recent update to the Google Chrome browser, External Protocol Handlers required in the authorization process are currently blocked or do not function correctly on some operating systems.


We're currently working on a fix for this issue, but in the meantime we recommend using the Firefox browser to authorize instead. If you have Firefox installed, you need to reset your default web browser to Firefox and then try authorizing again. 

If you prefer not to use Firefox you can also authorize offline.
