Live 8 Legacy Pack

The Live 8 Legacy Pack provides a selection of the Live 8 default content as a Pack, in case you are missing specific content from Live 8. Once you've downloaded the Pack, double click on it or drop it into Live to install it.

Using the Live 8 Library with Live 9

If you have a Live 8 license and have already installed it on your computer, you can instead add your Live 8 Library to Live 9. 

Using the Live 8 Library with Live 10 and later

It's not possible to link the Live 8 library with Live 10 in the same way that you can in Live 9, however you can add the Live 8 Library as a folder to Places, as long as you have a Live 8 license and have already installed it on your computer. 

The Live 8 Library is stored in the following location:

• Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Library
• Windows: C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 8\Resources\Core Library

These folders are hidden by default. Here's how to access hidden folders.

• Drag and drop this onto Live 10's Browser to Places. Once the content is indexed, you can access all the presets and sounds.

Note: When the Live 8 Legacy Pack is installed, it's likely that duplicate presets will appear for certain Core Library devices in Live 10's Browser. These additional presets pertain only to Live 8 Legacy devices (presets will typically include an option to "Upgrade" the Legacy device to its latest version).
