Waves plug-in compatibility

Waves Audio Unit (AU) plug-ins are not compatible with Live. Also, as of Waves 12, Waves plugins are only supported in VST3 format. We therefore recommend loading devices in VST3 format only, for future session compatibility.

Apple Silicon users, please also review the guidelines regarding Live and Waves support.

Note: The following Waves VST plug-ins are not compatible with Live:

360 Surround Tools
Dorrough Surround
IR 360 Convolution Reverb
UM225 / UM226

As with all third-party plug-ins, we also suggest you keep Waves devices correctly installed, authorized, and up to date.
