Waves plug-in compatibility
As of Waves 12, Waves plug-ins are compatible with Ableton Live in VST3 format only. Waves devices in VST2 or AU (Audio Unit) formats are not compatible with Ableton Live.
If using Ableton Live on an Apple Silicon processor, please also review these guidelines:
The following Waves VST plug-ins are not compatible with Live:
- 360 Surround Tools
- Dorrough Surround
- IR 360 Convolution Reverb
- UM225 / UM226
To avoid plug-in issues, make sure your Waves installation is fully up to date, authorized, and compatible with your operating system, computer processor, and Live version. For more information about the compatibility of Waves plug-ins, check the Waves list of supported hosts.
