Some or all Live Sets in the Open Recent Set menu are greyed out

Some or all files listed in the File menu "Open Recent Set" are greyed out and can't be opened from that menu.


Greyed out entries in this menu are indicating that Live can't locate the files anymore, most likely because they have been altered, renamed or moved.

In the worst case possible, which is pretty rare, they have been deleted, maybe even accidentally.

Live itself does not alter, move or remove those files, so there is a good chance that those files still reside on a different place on your hard drive.


Search for the file with the search engine of the computer's operating system.

On Mac, press [cmd][space]. This will open the Spotlight search field. Then type the name of a Live Set into the search field. Spotlight will start searching for it on the computer's hard drive right away.

Some general advice on saving Live Sets, is to never save a Set within a system folder of the operating system. Which is on Mac for example the "Application Support" folder and all subfolders. On Windows those system folders are for example "C:\Program Files\" or "C:\System\". The Live application, your library content and your Live Sets should always reside in different folders, independent from each other.
