Live reacts slowly if Display Zoom is active
- Live Versions: 9.2
- Operating System: OS X
When Live's Display Zoom (to be adjusted via Preferences → Look/Feel) is set to anything else than 100%, Live 9.2 32-bit can react slowly when editing, selecting or resizing GUI elements.
Using Live 9.2 64-bit is recommended and has benefits in memory handling as well.
If the 32-bit version of Live 9.2 needs to be used, and you don't want to reset the Display Zoom to 100%, it is possible to run Live in low resolution on some computers, depending on their graphics specifications.
- Close Live and open a Finder window.
- In Finder, press [Cmd+Shift+A] to display your Applications folder, and locate the Ableton Live application.
- [Cltr + click] the Ableton Live application and choose "Get Info" from the context menu.
- If "Open in Low Resolution" is shown here, just tick it.
Note that this last option is not universally available on Mac, and it will only appear in conjunction with certain Mac configurations.
