Sets and Content on Move
You can view and manage Sets, recordings, samples, and presets using Move's display, or in Move Manager in a web browser. This guide includes an overview of managing Sets and content on Move. For detailed instructions on how to use Move Manager, visit the Move manual.
Content can be easily transferred to other devices and opened in Ableton Live and Note using either Move Manager via Wi-Fi or USB-C, or with Ableton Cloud using Wi-Fi. Learn more about using Move with Cloud.
Note: Working on the same Set simultaneously on more than one device is not supported. Before starting work on a Cloud Set on a different device, be sure that the Set has synced to Cloud and you have the latest version on your device, and that the Set is closed on the other device. Syncing large sets can take up to several minutes, depending on the available bandwidth. For more information on managing Cloud Sets on Move.

Viewing Sets and content on Move
To view Sets on Move, press Shift + Step 1 to open Set Overview. Move will show an overview of all your Sets, with each Set represented as a lit LED pad. Move can hold up to 32 Sets.
To view presets on Move, enter Note Mode and click on a track button to enter Device View. Click the wheel to browse available presets for the focused track device.
To view samples, in Device View for a Drum or Melodic Sampler instrument, use the wheel to select and click a Sampler icon .You can then scroll through the available samples on Move.
Recorded samples are named according to the current Set number and recording number and placed in the sample browser under User Recordings. To view recordings, from Device View in a Drum or Melodic Sampler instrument, select a Sample icon , then press the back button or scroll to the top of the list and click Back. Use the wheel to select and click the folder User Recordings.

Sets
Move Manager allows you to manage your Move content from a web browser. Visit the Move manual section Using Move Manager for detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to:
- Sort, download, rename, and delete Sets
- Open Sets in Live and Note
- Export a Move Set as an audio file
Note: The maximum size of a Move Set is 400MB.

Opening Move Sets in Live 12 / Live 11.3.x or later
Move Sets can be opened in Live 12/11.3.x or later. For best compatibility, always use the latest available version of Live.
- In Move Manager, download the Set file (.abl bundle) by clicking on the download icon.
- To open this file in Live, you can either right-click on the .abl file and choose the Live application, or simply double-click on the file.
Note: Once you transfer a Move Set to Live and save it as an .als file, the Set can’t be transferred back to Move.
Recordings
The Recordings tab shows an overview of recordings made on Move using the internal microphone or audio input. Learn more about Sampling on Move.
In the Recordings tab, you can choose to:
- Download
- Delete
- Rename

Samples
As of Move 1.2, Move supports loading all samples from Ableton Packs. The Samples tab in Move Manager gives you an overview of samples uploaded to Move:
In the Samples tab, you can choose to:
- Import sample files or folders up to 100MB
- Delete
- Rename
Note: Uploading folders only works with the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Edge. It is not supported in Safari.

Presets
The Presets tab displays custom presets saved on Move.
In the Presets tab, you can choose to:
- Import Live Presets
- Delete
- Rename
Note: The maximum preset size that you can upload to Move is 400MB.
