Move does not turn off or on

If Move fails to turn off or on, follow the steps below to troubleshoot. 

If Move does not turn off

If Move does not turn off when you press the power button and then confirm by pressing the wheel, you can force Move to shut off by pressing and holding the power button for 8 seconds. 

If Move does not turn on

If Move does not turn on, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

1. Plug in the original power supply and allow Move to charge for several minutes.
2. Manually force Move to turn off by holding the power button for 8 seconds.
3. Perform a power test by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
   - If the track LED on the first track lights up green continuously, Move is receiving power. Next go to Step 4.
   - If the LED does not light up, Move is not receiving any power. In this case, please contact Ableton Technical Support using our contact form.
4. If the track LED lights up green in Step 3, next manually reset the Power Management Controller, by holding the power button for 18 seconds. Once the green LED has turned off, release the power button and try switching Move back on.
