Move Minimum System Requirements
Move is ready to use as a standalone instrument, without being connected to a computer. For the best performance in Standalone Mode, keep Move’s software up to date. For how to update Move, visit the Move manual.
When connected with your computer, Move can be used in Control Live mode as a control surface for Ableton Live. Also, you can transfer Sets created on Move to your computer and open them in Live, in order to use Live’s in-depth features. To use Move with your computer and other devices, make sure your system meets the requirements listed in this guide.

- Your computer must meet the minimum requirements for your installed Live version.
- For Move to charge when connected to your computer via USB-C, the port must supply at least 7.5 watts of power. Learn more in the Move Charging FAQ.
