How can I get more ReWire channels in Live?

You can enable up to 64 ReWire channels in Live by using the Options.txt file.

Can I use Max for Live devices when Live is running as ReWire slave?

You can use Max for Live devices only while running Live as ReWire master or as a stand-alone application.

Can I access VST plug-ins in Live when it is running as ReWire slave?

You can use VST Plug-ins in Live only while running Live as ReWire master or as a stand-alone application.

Can I pre-listen to my audio files via a separate audio output when running Live in ReWire slave mode?

The audio hardware is used by the ReWire master, and Live does not have access to the outputs, so it is not possible to pre-listen via a separate audio output when Live is running as ReWire slave.

Can I run Live and Reason at the same time, ReWired to Pro Tools?

Yes, if your computer is fast enough to run all three applications at the same time.

Why can't I get Live to work as ReWire slave in Digital Performer?

Be sure that you are using an Aux track in Digital Performer to enable ReWire and that you are launching Digital Performer first. Please refer to Motu's ReWire tutorial for further information.

Yes, you can limit ReWire channels in Live by using the Options.txt file.

Can I use ReWire with the Bridge?

Use of Ableton Live in ReWire mode is not recommended while running The Bridge, and Ableton Live will not work in ReWire slave mode when The Bridge is engaged. It is possible to use Live in ReWire master mode when The Bridge is engaged, but is untested.
