How to launch Live with third-party plug-ins disabled

For troubleshooting purposes, it can be helpful to launch Live without scanning your installed third-party plug-ins. 

To start Live without scanning plug-ins, press and hold [ALT]/[OPTION] on your computer keyboard while launching the application. Hold these keys until Live has fully opened, and the splash pane has closed. 

Launching Live with plug-ins scanning disabled is especially useful when:

• Live is crashing on launch
• a specific Live Set is crashing
• testing whether plug-ins are causing performance issues

If disabling plug-ins scanning allows you to open a problematic Set, you can then delete, replace or adjust the plug-ins in the Set to prevent further issues, while plug-ins are disabled.

The next time you restart Live, plug-ins scanning will be re-enabled.
