Push 3 Display Driver (Windows)

Installing the current version of Live on your Windows computer and connecting Push 3 automatically installs the display driver for Push 3. Here are instructions to re-install or manually install the Push 3 display driver.

Re-installing Push 3 display driver

Here are the steps to re-install the Push 3 display driver:

  • Turn off Push 3 and disconnect it from your computer, then navigate to Windows Device Manager.
  • From the View menu, select Show hidden devices.

  • Open Universal Serial Bus devices to display previous installations of Ableton Push 3 Display driver.
  • Right-click each instance of Ableton Push 3 Display, and select Uninstall device.

  • Connect Push 3's USB-C port to the computer's USB port.
  • Launch Live on your computer to trigger automatic re-installation of the driver.
  • Switch Push on again, using the power switch at the back.

Manually installing Push 3 display driver

If the Push display driver can't be installed automatically by Live, it's possible to install it manually.

  • Locate the Ableton Live Program Folder at the path C:\ProgramData\Ableton\. To access the ProgramData folder, which is hidden by default on Windows, enable the OS to display hidden files and folders.
  • Open the folder for your current Live version and edition; e.g. C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 11.3.4 Suite.
  • Inside this folder you'll find the Redist folder, which contains the installer.

  • Double-click the push2-display-driver-installer executable.
  • On some systems, it might be necessary to run this process as an administrator. Right-click on push2-display-driver-installer to access the context menu and select Run as Administrator.
